Setup Guide - BigQuery

Follow this setup guide to connect BigQuery Data Warehouse to DataChannel.

Prerequisites

  • Have a BigQuery Data Warehouse configured and reachable from the DataChannel.

  • You would require BigQuery ProjectID, DB Schema, and Region information access to add new credentials.

  • Create a user for DataChannel with SELECT rights on the tables / views you want to pull data from.

Setup instructions

  1. Select a data destination for your BigQuery Data. If you have not yet added a data warehouse, go to data warehouse tab and add a warehouse.

    Data Warehouse once selected cannot be changed.

  2. Authorise DataChannel to connect to your BigQuery account using OAuth using the process described here. Before OAuth Authentication process, you’ll first need to enter the details of your Name, BigQuery Project ID, BigQuery DB Schema & BigQuery Region using the + icon.

  3. Click on + Data Pipeline to start adding data pipelines to your account.
