View Destination details

Overview

This section explains you how to add new reverse syncs and edit / view your configured syncs, manage credentials, view a summary for data moved in each run, view status for recent runs, and more such functions.

Managing Credentials

  1. Go to the Reverse ETL tab on the sidebar and search and select the required data destination from the All Destinations menu option.

  2. From the Setup tab you can access various functionalities such as adding new credentials, refresing the list of credentials, editing or deleting a saved credential (Refer image).

Adding a new sync

  1. Go to the Reverse ETL tab on the sidebar and search and select the required data destination from the All Destinations menu option.

  2. There are two methods to add a new reverse sync:

    • Method 1 : From the Syncs tab you can view the various different types of reverse syncs that are supported by DataChannel for your selected Data destination. Select/ Add the credentials that you want to use to add the new reverse sync. Click on + to add the desired sync. Enter the desired sync configuration and set the schedule as needed.

  • Method 2 : Click on the + Data Sync button on top right side of the screen near the data destination description to add new syncs. Select/ Add the credentials that you want to use to add the new sync. Click on Next to view the various different types of reverse syncs that are supported by DataChannel for your selected Data destination. Click on the desired reverse sync and click on Next to add the desired sync. Enter the desired sync configuration and set the schedule as needed.

Editing / viewing Configured syncs

  1. Go to the Reverse ETL tab on the sidebar and search and select the required data destination from the All Destinations menu option.

  2. From the Configured Syncs tab you can view a summary of your configured syncs for a connector, details of number of runs and rows/data moved. Also, here you can access various functionalities such as editing/ running an existing sync, copying a sync, viewing details of last pipeline run, viewing the change history of the pipeline, and deleting the sync(Refer image).

  3. From the Configured Syncs tab, you can also use the toggle to change the status of a sync from 'active' to 'paused' or vice versa.

Viewing Logs

  1. Go to the Reverse ETL tab on the sidebar and search and select the required data destination from the All Destinations menu option. Click on the Configured Syncs tab.

  2. From the Configured Syncs tab you can click on any sync to view its details.

  3. You will be redirected to the Setup tab which displays presently saved configuration of the required reverse sync. Click on the Number of runs tab.

  4. You will be redirected to the Number of Runs tab which displays a pictorial and tabular representation of the previous sync runs.

  5. Click on the View Logs button to access the logs of the sync run. Please keep in mind that this feature is available for only your recent sync runs.

  6. Logs will be displayed for the run as shown in image above.

Viewing Number/status of Runs

  1. Go to the Reverse ETL tab on the sidebar and search and select the required data destination from the All Destinations menu option.

  2. From the Configured syncs tab you can click on the edit icon to view details of the desired reverse sync. (Refer image)

  3. You will be redirected to the Setup tab which displays presently saved configuration of the required reverse sync. By clicking on the Number of runs tab, you will be able to view the details (rows moved, rows processed, status) of the past runs of the selected reverse sync.
