Data Warehouse Setup

Adding a New Data Warehouse

  1. Go to the Warehouses tab on the sidebar and click on the +Add New button to add a new data warehouse. If you are a free plan user you will only be able to add a DataChannel managed Big Query Warehouse.

  1. Professional plan users will be able to add any Warehouse supported by DataChannel. Choose the warehouse you would like to connect and click on Add warehouse details. This will lead you to a form wherein you would be required to fill in the details of the warehouse you would like to add.

  1. When adding BigQuery / Redshift you would be prompted to choose between a Self-managed warehouse or a DataChannel managed warehouse. Choose the appropriate option.

  1. If adding BigQuery, the following screen would show up. Make sure that you have given the required permissions and then click on Next to fill in the form and then validate the configuration and save. For more details about each of these fields click here

  1. If adding Redshift, the following screen would show up. Fill in the form and then validate the configuration and save. For more details about each of these fields click here

  1. If adding Snowflake, the following screen would show up. Fill in the form and then validate the configuration and save. For more details about each of these fields click here

  1. If adding MySQL, the following screen would show up. Fill in the form and then validate the configuration and save.For more details about each of these fields click here

  1. If adding Azure Synapse, the following screen would show up. Fill in the form and then validate the configuration and save.For more details about each of these fields click here

Adding a Data Warehouse to a Data Source

Click on the Data Warehouse field to view / add a destination for the data from your data source. All the supported data warehouses which have been added by you to the Data Warehouse list in your account will be available for selection.

Data Warehouse once selected cannot be changed.
